I am ME

ME
I am Me.
Like the grass that grows
and the sky that blows.
Like my hair that’s black
or my Taurus zodiac.
The ethnicity I hold
or my personality that’s bold.
I am Me.
My eyes dark brown
and my nostalgic little town.
With my group of friends
oh, it’ll never end.
My Burmese lifestyle
and my proud, proud smile.
I am Me.

WAR – Using Popplet (sadaw)

War has been passed down many generations. It has been of hatred and greediness.
When a government/president is not satisfied with their amount of land, they declare war with others. Of course, they get items from their war. Mostly the things governments/presidents want are land, weapons and resources.

When a rich country declares war with a poorer country, it doesn’t really end well. The poor country will have no resources and due to the damages of their buildings, most will be homeless. Also, they won’t have any weapons to defend themselves so they’d lose the war.

Sometimes it has a rare chance to have a Civil War. Civil wars happen when the same country but different parts want something from the other group. When the group/part doesn’t agree they usually declare a war.

Why is Learning a Second Language Important?

Why is Learning a Second Language Important?
Learning a second language is really helpful. It may boost your confidence in other countries and when you need help, you could speak the same language as your peers.

“Why do I NEED to Learn it?”
You don’t NEED to learn it but learning a second language can really help you once you’re in a foreign country. Learning a second language can be learnt in your free time. It really is worth your time!

What Languages are Recommended to Learn?
For beginners, Spanish is the easiest language to learn and it’s really well known. You can start off by learning simple words like, Hola is Hello, Como Estas is How are you and Cuidate is Take care.

How can we Learn These Languages?
There are many apps to use such as Memrise and Duolingo. I really recommend Memrise as it helps you say, read and speak it. You can also hire tutors to help you or ask friends for help.

This is why you should learn a Language in your spare time. Once you travel to a different country, you would understand everything there is to know about it.

Blonde Brownies, Matariki Festival

Task Description: For Matariki Festival, Team Tui has planned something very special and my group are making, Blondies. Blondies are very delicious and is very recommended for others.

———————————————————————————————————————–

Step One: Preheat the oven to 350° Fahrenheit and line an 8×8 square baking pan with parchment paper.

In a microwave safe mixing bowl, melt the butter. Add both sugars to the bowl and whisk for a few minutes until the texture resembles a paste and pulls away from the side of the bowl.

Step Two: Add in the egg and vanilla extract and continue whisking.

Step Three: Add in the flour and salt and gently mix until the dry ingredients are just incorporated. Be careful not to over-mix, as this will affect the texture of the blondies! Carefully fold in the chocolate and pour the batter into the baking pan.

Step Four: Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until a toothpick in the middle comes out almost clean. There shouldn’t be any wet batter on it, but there may be a few wet crumbs. This means they are ready! Let the blondies cool completely before slicing.
